About Us

The picture above is of the River Spey - a river at the base of the Cairngorm mountains which flows through a small village in the Highlands of Scotland where Iain grew up.  If you are familiar with single-malt Scotch, it is also the river where a number of Speyside single-malt distilleries are situated.

Iain Howe, CPA

After working in tax departments for large multi-national corporations for 7 years Iain began a career in public accounting, with the benefit of having had corporate accounting experience.  Over the additional 8 years that Iain worked in public accounting, he has been fortunate enough to have had some great clients and great networking contacts.  Those same clients and networking contacts repeatedly asked why he had not yet established his own company.  After garnering over 15 years of both public and corporate tax accounting experience, Iain decided that it was time to venture off, and so Iain Howe, CPA & Associates was born!

David Romero, CPA

David Romero, CPA joined the team in November of 2015 and is an integral part of the firm, helping to keep tax returns flowing, checking up with clients on due dates and answering tax questions, and assisting clients with their overall tax and business consulting needs. The firm later changed its name to Howe & Romero, CPAs.

We enjoy helping clients succeed in their businesses, taking the burden of tax compliance work off your shoulders, and ensuring that you are benefiting from all of the deductions to which you are entitled while also ensuring you are in compliance with the myriad IRS, state and international tax rules.
